This is a beautiful example from the creative world of Marcello Fantoni. He was a Florentine artist who
specialized in ceramics. He studied at the Art Institute in Florence, where Libero Andreotti and Bruno
Innocenti were his sculpting professors and Gianni Vagnetti was his figurative art professor. Fantoni
began to work as a ceramist in 1934, opening his factory in 1936. You can see his work at museums
around the world, MOMA and Metropolitan Museum among others.
